INVESTMENT
& INFRASTRUCTURE
The Problem.
For too long, District 9 has relied on short-term fixes instead of long-term investment.
Roads are patched instead of replaced. Schools rely on temporary classrooms that become permanent. Infrastructure projects are delayed until they become more expensive and harder to fix.
These aren’t new problems — they’ve just gone unaddressed for too long.
Why It Matters?
Infrastructure shapes everyday life.
It affects:
• The roads we drive
• The schools our kids learn in
• The systems our community depends on
When we don’t invest properly, we all feel it — in time, cost, and quality of life.
The Solution =
1. District 9 Infrastructure Priority Plan
Identify and publish a clear list of priority projects across the district, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage — with a focus on long-term solutions.
2. School Modernization & Capacity Initiative
Reduce reliance on trailers, plan for future growth, and invest in modern school facilities that meet the needs of students today and tomorrow.
3. Roadway Replacement & Improvement Program
Move beyond temporary repairs by prioritizing full replacement and long-term improvements for major roads across District 9.
4. Flood Mitigation & Drainage Upgrade Act
Address flooding issues in vulnerable areas like Dundalk and Edgemere through proactive infrastructure upgrades.
Closing -
District 9 doesn’t need more temporary fixes.
It needs real investment, long-term planning, and leadership that builds for the future.
