SAFE
Neighborhoods
The Problem.
Many residents feel a decline in neighborhood safety.
Inconsistent enforcement, repeat offenses, and limited resources have made it harder to maintain the level of safety our community expects. Over time, that uncertainty affects how people live day to day.
No one should feel uneasy in their own neighborhood.
Why It Matters?
Public safety impacts everyday life.
It affects:
• Families
• Small businesses
• Quality of life
When people don’t feel safe, it changes how they move through their own community.
The Solution =
1. Community Policing Stability Act
Support consistent officer assignments within neighborhoods to build stronger relationships and improve trust between residents and law enforcement.
2. Response Time & Staffing Improvement Initiative
Evaluate staffing levels and improve response times to ensure residents receive timely and reliable service.
3. Repeat Offender Coordination Initiative
Strengthen coordination between law enforcement, courts, and County agencies to focus resources on repeat offenders.
4. Community Partnership & Engagement Program
Expand opportunities for residents to engage with law enforcement, provide feedback, and stay informed on safety efforts in their neighborhoods.
